Although driving while intoxicated charges are considered traffic in nature and thus will not result in a criminal record if convicted, the penalties associated with the conviction can be more devastating then most disorderly persons offenses (misdemeanors). If you have been placed under arrest and charged with DWI in Robbinsville, you are not alone. The Robbinsville Municipal Court presides over just under 150 DWI charges each and every year. The penalties if convicted include a lengthy license loss, high fines, community service, court ordered rehab, imposition of the ignition interlock device and jail time, even for a first time offender.
