The Trenton Police Department was at it again this past weekend. According nj.com, the Trenton Police Department responded to a tip about a man wandering the 400 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard with a gun. When the officers arrived on scene they quickly noticed a potential suspect who matched the description given. When the suspect noticed the officers approaching he fled on scene. The officers were finally able to apprehend the suspect when they cornered him in an abandoned warehouse. The suspect turned about to be a forty-one year old male from the City of Trenton. During the arrest, the officer uncovered fifteen grams of crack cocaine, thirty grams of marijuana, $551 in cash and a bag of hollow-point bullets. It does not appear based on the reports that a handgun was actually uncovered. Unfortunately for the Defendant, things did not end their. When the officers were attempting to place the Defendant into the police car, he kicked one of the officers in the chest. So at the end of the day the Defendant was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, unlawful possession of hallow point bullets, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer and trespassing.
